Located at Corner Stores, which is now the intersection of Whitehorse and Nutt Roads, the Schuylkill Friends Meeting, was built in 1807 and used as a school house. The first regular meeting for worship was held Nov. 12, 1815. At that time it was the Charlestown Friends Meeting, as Schuylkill Township did not come into being until 1826. The photo is from the early 1900s.
