The Phoenixville Area Senior Center was founded in 1978. According to its mission statement, it exists to serve, support and enhance the lives of all citizens in the greater Phoenixville area over the age of 60.

The Center offers breakfast three days a week and lunch five days a week. They also offer exercise classes, art classes, computer classes, a tech support class and Wii bowling. There is also a trip program that is very popular.

The goal is to provide opportunities for older adults to reach their maximum potential. The Center has experienced funding cuts. At a time when more and more seniors are attending the Center they are faced with the challenge of doing more with much less money.
