Her posts exude wit, creativity and enthusiasm and because of her the Colonial Facebook page has grown from 436 fans to 2,540 and Twitter followers grew from 2 to 388.

Lennon also serves as the key planner for two of the largest special events held each year at the Colonial—the TEDx Phoenixville Show and the Members’ Oscar Party.

Joseph Little

Joe Little and his family moved to the Phoenixville Area more than 10 years ago and since that time he has become active in many community organizations and projects.

Little is most known for his work with the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (PCEF), an organization that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the activities of the Phoenixville Area School District.

PCEF has assisted with school funding for projects such as “Pack a Backpack,” Robotics Club, teacher initiatives and education events for students, teachers and the community.

Little was one of the original board members when the idea of the foundation was advanced by Dr. David Noyes, then superintendent. Since 2006, Little served as President of the PCEF and his outstanding commitment continues to this day.

Little’s volunteerism does not end with PCEF. He coached several youth teams: YMCA, CYO and PMYC Basketball, PASC Girls and Boys Soccer, PECO, AAU and Babe Ruth Baseball.

Little and his family are active members of St Ann’s Church. He is also a current member of the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of directors of the Phoenixville Country Club.

Charles “Chuck” McQuiston

Chuck McQuiston donated 24 years of service to the Phoenixville Marion Youth Club (PMYC). For the past eight years he has served as the organization’s president. The PMYC first provided a football program for young boys but their programs expanded to include basketball, field hockey and lacrosse.

McQuiston helped with the move from the original location on Second Avenue to the league's present location in Charlestown Township on the old Valley Forge General Hospital land.

Serving hundreds of area youngsters, the PMYC does not charge anyone to participate.

McQuiston has also coached baseball for the Kimberton Youth Athletic League (KYAL) and has been active with the Phoenixville Area High School Phantoms football organization.

Richard Rosmos

A retired funeral director, Richard Rosmos has been involved with so many aspects of the greater Phoenixville community. For the past 25 years he has been on the board of directors for the Phoenixville Senior Center.

Involved with their many events and fundraising projects, Rosmos serves as the chair of the endowment committee.

An active member of the Lions Club for 46 years, Rosmos has contributed to most of their charitable and fundraising events of special note. He’s worked with the Lions Club’s effort to help the blind, recycling eyeglasses and purchasing eyeglasses for needy children in the Phoenixville area.

His efforts have touched almost every organization in this community including the hospital, library, schools and just about every youth sports organization in town.

Community organizations running a raffle or selling tickets to a special event could get the cost of the ticket printing donated by Rosmos.

His commitment to the community continues even in his retirement.

Bob Ulisny

Bob Ulisny has been involved with various youth sports organizations for almost a quarter century. He began his coaching duties with the Kimberton Youth Athletic League (KYAL) in 1988 and continued through 1994 when his efforts shifted to the Phoenixville Babe Ruth organization where he served as a coach, manager, field maintenance person and umpire. He has continued to umpire the games to the present day.

He served from 1995-1997 as a commission for the Phoenixville Marion Youth Club Basketball League. Since 1995 he has refereed the kids’ basketball games and accepts no money for his refereeing skills.

For the past 10 years has helped his friend Len Baranoski with the KYAL Challenger and the Pathway School Annual Fishing Derby.

Joel Zimmermann

Joel Zimmermann has been volunteering since his early days in Boy Scouts. The past year Zimmermann was awarded his Eagle Scout Badge for a project to improve the building and grounds at the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company.

Zimmermann’s project included planting 12 evergreen trees and building a gravel parking lot for the fire station.

He also volunteers with the fire company as a firefighter and EMT. Zimmermann passed his EMS certification and even though he is enrolled at college he responds to as many calls as possible. This year he has responded to more than 40 calls.

Zimmermann hopes to get a part-time job as an EMT and pursue a career in nursing.

He considers his training and projects as playing a big role in his personal development and he has learned a lot about working with people in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Zimmermann also finds time in a busy schedule to donate about 4-5 hours a week mowing his church’s lawn.
