Local Girl Scouts Hit the Trails at Valley Forge

The scouts celebrated National Trails Day and the 100th anniversary of the girl scouts.

VALLEY FORGE, Pa — As part of its centennial celebration, the Girl Scouts of Eastern
Pennsylvania (GSEP) celebrated National Trails Day with a special outdoor education
and nature appreciation event for Girl Scouts from across eastern Pennsylvania on
June 2. Girl Scouts and their friends and families enjoyed a series of activities like
hikes, a Trails Fair, health and wellness education, conservation/wildlife & safety
educational clinics and volunteer plant cleanup for older Scouts. GSEP celebrated its
100th Anniversary with a birthday cake cutting ceremony.
