Phoenixville Relay for Life Gearing Up for 2012

Come help celebrate more birthdays and kick off the 2012 Relay at Petrucci's.

If you're thinking of getting involved with the 2012 Phoenixville Relay for Life, now's the time to act.

The 2012 Phoenixville Relay for Life is gearing up for months of Relay activities leading up to the main event the weekend of May 12 and 13, 2012.

Opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, and closing ceremonies will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The Relay will once again be held on the beautiful campus of .

Our first kick-off will be held at on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Come out and enjoy music, join in activities, and register your team for the Relay in May. If you are not familiar with the Relay event, come on out to learn more about how you can become a part of this meaningful event.

The Relay for Life is a Phoenixville community event. Under the direction of the American Cancer Society, the event is put together and run by members of the community of Phoenixville to support those fighting cancer, remember those that have lost the battle and celebrate the lives of those now cancer-free.

Stay tuned and continue to check in with the Patch website for upcoming Relay events throughout the year, leading right up to the Relay in May. This will include activities at First Fridays throughout the year and many other fun-filled family events.

One of the upcoming events will be the Bark for Life, which will be held in Reeves Park on Oct. 9. Start thinking about your dog’s Halloween costume as there will be prizes and fun galore!

Phoenixville’s American Cancer Society’s Partner is Jamie Gold. The 2012 Phoenixville Relay for Life will be chaired by Curin Romich, Jean Garman and Jennifer Epps.
