This week's rescue pet comes to us from Phoenix Animal Rescue. Thanks to Dana for providing the following description of this cute puppy:

Meet Cheryl, a super loving, super cute eight-week-old American Bulldog mix.

Cheryl came into an overcrowded city shelter as a stray. She had a severe abscess on her neck and face. The shelter could not handle the extensive medical treatment needed to help Cheryl, who was in extreme pain and suffering at the time, so they put out a desperate plea for us to pull her so we did.

Cheryl went to our vet and was medically treated. She is now back to normal and finishing up antibiotics. Since taking her on we have discovered this little girl is deaf, which isn't uncommon in white dogs. Please don't let that scare you away, as her quality of life is great and she's a happy girl who really doesn't know any other way.

This poor baby has been through so much in her very short life, and is hoping people look past her special needs status as a deaf dog and open their hearts and home to her.

Cheryl has been in foster care where she could get medical attention. She's been living with other dogs and cats, and loves life. Her little tail is always in constant motion and she just thinks life is so great now! Let's show her how much better it can get by finding her a forever home for the holidays.
