Blobfest, Bike Race, Crafts, and Automated Red Light Enforcement in the Week Ahead
Here's what's happening this week in and around Phoenixville
This will be one of the busier weeks of the summer in and around Phoenixville, topped off this coming weekend with 300 costumed people screaming as they run out of the Colonial Theater to kick off the 2013 Blobfest.
Monday
9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Make it and Take it Craft event at the Phoenixville Public Library. Make crafts related to the library's summer theme "dig into reading".
Starting at 9:30 a.m. Pottery and Painting Classes Summer classes at Chester Springs Studio at Historic Yellow Springs begin the week of July 8th.
Tuesday
Starting at 8 a.m. Register for 9/28/13 Fifteenth Annual Kimberton Run/Walk & Kids' Fun Run
9:30 a.m. Introduction to Yoga for Very Young Children Ages 2-5 at the Phoenixville Public Library
7 p.m. Phoenixville Borough Council Meeting at Borough Hall A packed agenda this month includes a proposal to give final approval to an automated red light enforcement system, a hearing on a new liquor license in the borough which would be transferred from East Marlboro Township.

Thursday
10:30 a.m. Thrilling Thursdays sponsored by Phoenixville Public Library
5-9 p.m. Chesco Grand Prix Bike Race in the streets of Phoenixville.
Friday
All weekend: Blobfest 2013 kicks off a three day weekend of fun and fantasy as the Colonial Theater Celebrates the movie which was shot in Phoenixville.
