Fall Sports, Digging into the Garden, Phoenixville's Big Move in the Week Ahead

It's back to school this week for many high school athletes and new teachers.


Monday


Phoenixville Borough Hall will permanently close at 2:30 p.m. at 140 Church Street.  Employees will be boxing up and moving to the new Borough Ha;; at 351 Bridge Street.

First Day of PIAA-sanctioned fall sports practices for most interscholastic high school sports teams.

9 a.m. Clay Camp for Adults - August 12 - 16, 2013

6:30 p.m. PMYC Youth Football Registration (No Fee to Play) Last Registration

Tuesday

All Day Phoenixville Borough Government opens for business in its new home at the new Borough Hall at 251 Bridge Street.

All Day New Teacher Orientation begins in the Phoenixville Area School District.

11:30 a.m. Reinventing Yourself: A Professional and Personal Perspective

2 p.m. Ronald McDonald Summer Library Tour

6 p.m. Grace Bible Church Vacation Bible School

6 p.m. Phoenxiville Parks and Recreation Committee Meets Borough Hall 351 Bridge Street

7 p.m. Phoenixville Borough Council meets. Third floor council chambers in the new Borough Hall at 351 Bridge Street.

Wednesday

6 p.m. Free Financial Workshop - Budgeting & Debt Reduction

Thursday

All Day  Register for Fifteenth Annual 9/28 Kimberton Run

7:30 p.m. Free Learners Institute of Phoenixville (FLIP) Information Session

Friday

10 a.m. How Does Our Garden Grow at Phoenixville Public Library  Dig! Plant! Water! Sunshine! Love!  Everyone participates with children playing characters of farmers, seeds, carrots, strawberries, bees, groundhogs, and more. Costumes, props, and percussion instruments are used. All join together to create a beautiful garden. The show will last about 45 minutes and will be followed by creating a related craft.

This will be a lot of fun for the kids with excellent photo opportunities!
