Did You Know? America's Largest Free Amusement Park is Here in Pa.

Among the more than 50 rides is The Phoenix, which was voted the No. 2 Wooden Roller Coaster in the World.

Here's some good news for the summer activity budget: The largest free-admission amusement park in America is right here in Pennsylvania.

Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg harkens back to yesteryear with its old-fashioned family fun. Admission is free, and you buy tickets for the individual rides you'd like to try, as you might with a state or local fair.

Among the more than 50 rides is The Phoenix, which was voted the No. 2 Wooden Roller Coaster in the World, as well as a carousel where you can still try to catch the brass ring. See a full ride list here; there's also a water park.

Knoebels also offers a campground, so you can spend the night and hit the rides again the next day. Find various camping options and pricing here.
