Hubert O. Thacker, 87, Served in the Navy During WWII

Thacker passed away on Wednesday.

Hubert O. Thacker, 87, husband of the late Doris (Elliott) Thacker, of Royersford, PA, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was the son of the late Hubert and Laura (White) Thacker. Hubert served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the American Legion. He retired from Container Corporation of America in Oaks, PA. Surviving him is his sister, Minnie Thacker of Phoenixville, PA. Francis McBride, 88, was a Member of Friendship Fire Co.

McBride passed away on Sunday.

Francis J. "Jake" McBride, 88, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday morning, April 21, 2013. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late James and Anne (Binstead) McBride. Jake served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He was the owner of Modern Method Rug Cleaners & Upholstery of Phoenixville, PA He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville, where he was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. He was a charter life member of National Firemen's Shrine and Hall of fame, and a member of Friendship Fire Company. Jake was a model train enthusiast, he loved to fish and ride his moped. Most days Jake would be seen walking throughout the community, smiling and greeting everyone…

Patricia Krumenacker, 56, Graduated from PAHS

Krumenacker passed away on April 19.

Patricia M. (Wilson) Krumenacker, 56, wife of Michael  Krumenacker Jr., of North Coventry, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm in the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Philadelphia.  Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel R. Wilson Sr. and Kathryn P. (Michinock) Wilson, of Phoenixville. Pat was a 1974 graduate of Phoenixville High School.  She had been employed for TSC in Pottstown for 15 years and then for Boscov’s in Coventry for 5 years.  She enjoyed fossil hunting and paleontology and had some of her work published with the American Poet Society.  Pat was an active member of the Hamlin Hawgs Motorcycle Club, enjoyed helping with the club’s benefits, and loved being with her …

Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late George A. and Vilma (Becker) Moles. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Troy Alexander Moles of Denton, TX and his daughter, Laura Grace Moles of New Castle, DE. Kershaw died on Monday.

MaryAnna “Pepper” (Hoffman) Kershaw, 82, wife of the late Isaac Kershaw III, passed away quietly with her family present on Monday, April 15, 2013.  Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Ruth (Styer) Hoffman. MaryAnna was a graduate of the former Spring City High School.  She was employed as a register nurse in both hospital and doctor office settings after attending Presbyterian School of Nursing, now part of the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Pepper will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandmother. She had a passion for gardening having studied horticulture at the New York Botanical Gardens. Pepper was an avid traveler having visited many parts of the world with both friends and family.  She also …

Felix Marchionne, 93, Served in the Army During WWII

Marchionne passed away on Friday.

Felix A. Marchionne, 93, of Sanatoga, PA, and formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Malvern, PA, he was the son of the late Nobilio Spirito and Catherine (Barber) Marchionne. Felix served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a Searchlight Operator. He worked 45 years as a Line Foreman for the Reading Railroad retiring in 1980. Anna Beccaria, 95, Was a Member of St. Basil

Beccaria died April 5.

Anna T. (Mele) Beccaria, 95, wife of the late John Dominic Beccaria, of Phoenixville, formerly Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013, in the Phoenixville Hospital.  Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Ratti) Mele.  Mrs. Beccaria was currently a member of St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, Kimberton.  In prior years, she had been a longtime volunteer with Aid For Friends, Philadelphia and Immaculate Mary Home in Philadelphia. Mrs. Beccaria is survived by her son, Dr. Louis J.
