The Colonial Theatre
227 Bridge St, Phoenixville, PA 19460

One of the cornerstones of Phoenixville's revitalization, The Colonial Theatre originally opened in 1903. In 1999, itMore reopened and now features classic, art and independent movies as well as children's entertainment and a number of live acts. First Friday Fright Nights, Sunday Classics and regular showings draw crowds to the theater known for its role in the movie "The Blob."

The Colonial Theatre also serves as a ground zero of sorts for the annual BlobFest, held each July. Movie buffs, street vendors and those looking for fun flock to Bridge Street to watch screenings of the movie, make tinfoil hats and soak in the festivities.

Additionally, the theater hosts other events throughout the year. At an annual Oscar party, guests enter on a red carpet and watch the awards on the big screen. Rocky Horror is shown here, and the Christmas party is a big draw. Become a member to support the theater and get perks like reduced admission prices and special event passes, depending on the membership tier.
