Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Recalled

Ben & Jerry's is recalling their Chocolate Nougat Crunch for an undeclared peanut allergen.

Unilever has recalled pints of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Nougat Crunch ice cream due to an undeclared peanuts or tree nuts on the ingredient label. The labels are missing an allergen advisory, “Allergy Information: Fudge covered wafer pieces have been manufactured on shared equipment that processes peanuts and tree nuts.” The affected product has date codes of product has date codes of printed on the bottom of the pint. To date, no illnesses have been reported, but people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts or tree nuts can risk an allergic reaction.
