Drug Bust Goes Down at 7-Eleven, Police Say

A Philadelphia man was arrested after police say an informant set up the Friday night deal.

A 30-year-old Philadelphia man is in Chester County Prison after police say he sold heroin to an informant behind a Nutt Road convenience store last week. On Friday at approximately 5 p.m., under the direction of Chester County Detectives and Phoenixville Police, an informant called Joseph Merrill McIntosh and asked for heroin. According to court documents, McIntosh agreed to sell the informant two bundles of heroin in exchange for cash. A short while later, McIntosh pulled into the 7-Eleven parking lot on the 200 block of Nutt Road, where he had agreed to meet the customer, and called the informant's cell phone to let him know he was there, police say. Phoenixville Man Charged with Fondling Child

Mark Donald Gear groped a 4-year-old on New Year's Eve 2010, according to police.

A 61-year-old Phoenixville man is in Chester County Prison after police say he fondled a 4-year-old girl on New Year's Eve in 2010. On Wednesday, an investigation of more than two years culminated in felony charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child and corruption of minors being levied against Mark Donald Gear, according to court documents. On Jan. 24, 2011, police say a 4-year-old girl was interviewed at the Chester County Child Advocacy Center by a county detective. Child Porn Charges Filed Against Phoenixville Man

Christopher D. Koukos allegedly sent sexually explicit pictures to an investigator he thought was a 14-year-old boy.

After a nearly two-year investigation involving multiple departments in two states, a 36-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested on child pornography charges on Monday. Christopher D. Koukos, a resident of the 1900 block of Revolutionary Court in Phoenixville, was charged on February 11 with ten felony counts of child pornography and an additional charge of criminal use of a communication facility, after he allegedly sent pictures of his penis to an investigator who was posing as a 14-year-old boy in a chat room. Outgoing PPD Officer Goggin Earns High Praise from County DA

Goggin is joining the Chester County Detectives after over 20 years with the Phoenixville Police Department.

Tom Goggin, who is leaving the Phoenixville Police Department to become a Chester County Detective after over twenty years of distinguished service to the borough, earned high praise from his new bosses at his swearing in ceremony last week, The Phoenix is reporting. “Jim Ciliberto and Tom Goggin are experienced, aggressive, and dedicated investigators,” said DA Thomas Hogan in a press release that was sent to some media outlets prior to the swearing in. “They have worked with and earned the respect of law enforcement throughout Pennsylvania.
