Obama's Executive Orders Ushering in Local Gun Boom?

The day after President Obama signed 23 executive orders on guns, business was booming at French Creek Outfitters.

Count one for unintended consequences. A week after President Obama signed 23 executive orders prescribing tighter regulation on guns in America, it looks like the biggest beneficiaries might be gun retailers. The effect is being felt locally. According to reporting in Montgomery News, just a day after the president made his sweeping regulations, business was bustling at Phoenixville’s French Creek Outfitters. The line was at least a dozen deep at all times on January 17, and a store employee told a reporter that they were sold out of the AR-15 rifle—the style Adam Lanza notoriously used in the December 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary—and had been “for weeks.” A separate source cited in the story said that the spike in sales is …

The 21st amendment was added so the constitution could be added to as time went on. It never gave the government the power to completely remove any amendment from the constitution! DA: Man Bought Gun in Phoenixville for Cop Killer

Though the gun Officer Brad Fox was killed with was allegedly purchased in Jeffersonville, police say another gun was purchased for Andrew Thomas at French Creek Outfitters.

A Philadelphia man has been arrested on charges that he purchased and illegally resold the gun later used to shoot and kill Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox last month. Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said Michael Joseph Henry, 30, purchased a 9-millimeter Beretta that he then sold to Andrew Charles Thomas, who shot and killed Fox near the Schuylkill River Trail following an automobile and foot pursuit on Sept. 13. The gun's serial number was traced to Henry through Pennsylvania State Police records. Authorities interviewed Henry the day after Fox's murder and said Henry told them he began to purchase firearms for Thomas shortly after meeting him last April.
