Phoenixville police made an arrest after a caller alerted them to a prowler.
A 21-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested after police say he tried several times to steal from a vehicle parked in Eland Downe. On April 6 at 12:05 a.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the 4800 block of Eland Downe after a caller reported that a man wearing a dark puffy jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt was seen running from an area where a car alarm was going off. According to court documents, the man was seen in close proximity to the car two additional times. Police say they located a man matching the description the caller provided. A 46-year-old Phoenixville man is charged with causing an estimated $2,500 in damage.
A 46-year-old Phoenixville man was charged on Wednesday after police say he deliberately walked through freshly poured concrete on Bridge Street, necessitating thousands of dollars in repairs. At 7:45 a.m. on April 10, Phoenixville Police responded to a criminal mischief complaint at the Shell station at 508 Bridge St. The foreman of a construction company that was pouring a new sidewalk in front of the station told police that someone had walked around the barricades and through the fresh concrete the previous evening, leaving footprints, police say. It will cost roughly $2,500 to fix the concrete, according to an estimate Phoenixville Police procured. Police tracked down and spoke with a witness to the crime. According to court documents…

A 26-year-old Zionsville man faces criminal charges after, Phoenixville Police say, he took his fianceé's sister's truck without permission. The man was in possession of heroin and marijuana when he was apprehended, according to court documents. On Saturday, Phoenixville Police say a woman came to the station to report that her sister's fiancé, the defendant, had taken her truck without permission. According to court documents, the women woke up that morning to find that the 1992 Ford pickup was missing. She told police that she had lent the defendant the vehicle in the past, but stopped once she learned that he did not have a valid driver’s license. A 49-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested over the weekend after, police say, he attacked an acquaintance in his East Walnut Street home. Burl Deron Paschall faces charges of felony aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and public drunkenness stemming from the April 6 incident. On Saturday at 9:27 p.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the unit block of East Walnut Street for a report of a fight. According to court documents, at the scene, police found the victim, a male who was bleeding “profusely” from a cut above his left eye. Two brothers got in a scuffle in a home on Morris Street, according to police.
A 45-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested last week after police say he assaulted his girlfriend and, in a resulting scuffle, nearly pushed his brother down a flight of stairs. On March 12 at 10:51 p.m., Phoenixville Police responded to the 200 block of Morris Street for a report of a domestic assault. According to court documents, on the scene one of the victims told police that he was in his second floor bedroom when he heard his brother having a fight with his girlfriend. The man said he thought it was a physical altercation, police say. A 21-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested on drug charges late last month after he called 911 and made a bogus burglary report, Phoenixville Police are reporting. On Feb. 26 at 4:18 a.m., Phoenixville Police responded to the 200 block of Bridge Street for a report of a burglary in progress. According to court documents, the 911 dispatcher told police that John Lasorda, a resident of the address, had called and said that he had a gun and planned to shoot the intruders in his home. When police arrived on the scene, they were met by Lasorda in the basement. Police say Lasorda had a screwdriver in his left hand. A 42-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend over a spilled beer, police say. On Friday at 7:11 p.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Street for a domestic dispute. Once on the scene, the victim told police that her boyfriend had staggered home intoxicated that night, still carrying a beer. The woman tried to take the beverage and pour it out, at which point the man became enraged, police say. According to reports, the man pushed his girlfriend against the steps, then strangled her until she couldn’t breathe.
