Local Man Forged Prescription to Get Percocet, Police Say
According to police, a conscientious pharmacist caught the forgery and called them.
A 29-year-old Spring City man was arrested at CVS earlier this month after police say he altered a doctor’s note in an attempt to get a prescription of narcotic pain relievers filled. According to court documents, on Feb. 10 at 1:07 p.m., police were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy at 130 Schuylkill Road after a pharmacist on duty reported that Andre Jamison was attempting to get 30 Percocet pills with a prescription she suspected was forged. The pharmacist added that another pharmacy had called and told them not to fill any prescriptions for Jamison. Police spoke to the defendant, and inspected the script he carried.
