William C. Brunner, Neighbor
- Limerick-Royersford-Spring City, PA
I was born in Phoenixville in 1945. In 1958 my parents moved to Spring City and I attended Spring-Ford schools and graduated in 1962. I married a Spring City girl, Joyce Litka, in 1963 and we purchased our first home on Arch Street in Spring City in 1966. It was supposed to be our starter home and a good place to raise our two children. We are still living there now after 45 years so I now consider it our finisher house.
The first 18 years of my working career were spent as a union worker at Firestone Tire & Rubber. I then served as a service manager for Wagner Auto for 10 years and spent the last 10 years of my working career as a caseworker employed by the Commonwealth of Pa.
I retired in 2001 and have spent the past ten years enjoying many of my hobbies. I love photography of all kinds. I maintain a garden railway and spend a lot of time at the Spring-Ford Area Historical Society. I have served on the board there for 20 years and have held the office of president for the past 7 years. I have written two local history books published by Arcadia and I have also written the newsletter inserts for our society for the past 8 years. My wife serves as secretary of the society and also is president of the Spring City Women's Club.
In addition to our two children we have 3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Joyce and I are happy at home with our four dogs.
