Phoenixville Area School District and Teachers Reach Tentative Contract Deal

The announcement marks the end of three-and-a-half years of negotiations.

The Phoenixville Area School District says it has reached a tentative contract agreement with members of its teachers union.

The announcement from the school district sent to reporters on Friday morning offered no specifics on the deal or how the logjam was finally broken after three and a half years of negotiations.

The PASD Board of Directors and the Phoenixville Area Education Association announced a Tentative Agreement on a new contract.  The two entities had been in negotiations for the 3.5 years.  Both teams will now work to finalize the details of the contract and gain ratification as quickly as possible.  Details of the terms of the settlement will be released after both sides have ratified the Tentative Agreement.

Patch will continue to follow this story closely and will post more details as they become available.
