The AARP Driver Safety Program will be held at Phoenixville Public Library on Friday, November 9 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. AARP developed this one-day,
eight-hour classroom refresher to help drivers 50 years and older improve their skills and prevent crashes. The course covers age-related physical changes in perception and reaction time, current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and safe vehicle operation.
There are no tests, and graduates may be eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premiums.
In November, the course is FREE for all veterans
and their spouses. Otherwise, the fee is $12 for AARP members showing their membership number and $14 for non-members, payable
at the door. Registration is required.
